Affiliate Seller Application

CRIA Books is pleased to offer its digital products through selected affiliate sellers. Reputable business owners with well-positioned web sites can increase cash flow through affiliate sales commissions (20% of the sale price). To become a CRIA affiliate, please read the Affiliate Sales Agreement (below), then fill out the application form.

All applications are subject to approval. You will receive an email message confirming receipt of your application, generally within 24 hours. Incomplete or erroneous submissions will be rejected. Please review your entries for accuracy, then click on APPLY to submit the form.

Affiliate Agreement

The terms below constitutes the entire agreement between CRIA LLC (herein referred to as "CRIA")and the affiliate seller (herein referred to as "Affiliate"). You must read and agree to the terms of the agreement prior to submitting the application form (above). Checking the box in the form indicates your binding agreement with the following terms:

Accounts

The affiliate account must be approved in advance by CRIA, LLC . The affiliate seller agrees to comply with the guidelines presented herein. In addition, the affiliate agrees to abide by CRIA's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

CRIA reserves the right to terminate any affiliate account at any time, for any reason. Upon notifying the affiliate that their account has been terminated, CRIA will collect any balance owed by the affiliate at that time or pay out the full balance owed to the affiliate (if any).

Fulfillment

CRIA will provide digital content as advertised on its web site. CRIA will conclude transactions and distribute digital products directly from its own secure servers.

Advertising & Promotion

CRIA will provide the affiliate with promotional images and sample code to create independent advertising displays and promotional offerings on their own web sites or to use in independent email promotions. Upon request, CRIA technical personnel will assist the affiliate to the best of their ability with setting up correctly-coded affiliate image- or object-oriented links (such as Flash animation). Nevertheless, each affiliate is responsible for correctly coding and testing their own links.

CRIA may also, at its option, provide supportive materials (such as page samples, promotional content, etc.) as may be needed by the affiliate to best suit promotional environments or venues. The affiliate may use portions of the CRIA promotional web pages set up for each eBook, provided the excerpted content is replicated intact and not modified in any way. Affiliate agree to remove upon request any promotional content CRIA finds objectionable.

Email Marketing

In general, CRIA LLC discourages email promotion. Any affiliate who elects to engage in email marketing must comply with all state and federal regulations. Product notifications may be sent only through bona fide opt-in channels. In particular, unsolicited (spam) messages are specifically prohibited and any/all messages sent by or on behalf of the affiliate must be 100% CAN-SPAM compliant. CRIA must approve any email promotions in advance, prior to such messages being sent.

Any affiliate whose promotional activity in any way subjects CRIA servers to blacklisting or any negative impacts whatsoever will find their account immediately terminated. CRIA will vigorously prosecute any such offense to the fullest extent of the law, including claims for damages and any/all losses.

Links

CRIA will provide each affiliate with a unique code identifying the origin of a click-through to the CRIA web site. Upon arrival, CRIA will establish the source from the embedded code and track any resulting transaction(s) through its shopping cart system. The identifying code must be included in the URL directing the buyer to CRIA, otherwise the affiliate will not be recognized. The affiliate is responsible for coding their own systems in accordance with CRIA specifications. CRIA is not responsible for mis-coding of affiliate links and no after-sale claims resulting from mis-coding will be considered.

At no time may any affiliate provide a link to any downloadable product to CRIA's content to any non-customer or unapproved third party, for any reason. Any such indiscretion is grounds for immediate termination of the seller's affiliate account and may result in criminal prosecution.

Pricing

All commissions are based on a percentage of the advertised retail price for the digital product or product bundle being purchased. In general, CRIA recommends offering digital products at the prices displayed on the CRIA web site. Any non-retail price discount must be included in the URL provided by the affiliate or the discount will not carry over to the shopping cart system.

The affiliate may offer a digital product below the retail price advertised on the CRIA web site, but any/all affiliate price reductions are subtracted from the affiliate commission, up to the limit of the commission percentage. In no case may the affiliate offer a digital product at a discount less than the affiliate's commission. Should such an event occur, the affiliate would be charged the difference and it would be subtracted from their commission balance.

CRIA is not responsible for incorrectly-coded affiliate links in which advertised discounts are not correctly reflected at the point of sale. CRIA specifically disclaims any responsibilities or obligations in such cases and may terminate the affiliate account if repeat offenses occur.

Commissions and Reporting

In general, CRIA issues commission payments on a monthly basis. The affiliate will be provided with a secure URL from which they may download a regularly-updated report detailing sales activity. A minimum commission balance of $50.00 is required to generate a payout. However, the affiliate may request a payout when the commission balance is below $50.00, with the caveat that an additional $10.00 processing fee will be imposed in such cases.

Whereas the affiliate may elect to apportion sales commissions in collaboration with a 3rd party engaged in mutually-supportive marketing activities, CRIA does not make commission payments to third parties. It is the sole responsibility of the affiliate to conclude any/all payments for any mutual commission sharing in which the affiliate may elect at its discretion to participate. CRIA disclaims any responsibilities or obligations in such matters. Only the affiliate will received earned commissions from CRIA, in the manner described above.
